Blue Fish is a finely hand-knotted wool rug with a wonderfully playful composition of individually drawn fish swimming across an open blue field. Large, boldly patterned fish are interspersed with schools of smaller forms, giving the design a lively sense of movement. Each fish is rendered differently, giving the rug plenty of character and visual interest.
Woven in Afghanistan using Ghazni wool, the rug has a dense, durable weave and soft pile. The varied blue field gives the rug depth and texture, while accents of red, green, gold and ivoery bring the fish to life.
