Red Bidjar is a hand-knotted rug from Afghanistan, woven in hand-spun wool and natural dyes. Inspired by traditional Bidjar designs from Iran, the rug has a rich red field surrounded by a deep navy blue border, with intricate floral motifs throughout.
The Ghazni hand-spun wool gives Red Bidjar a wonderful texture, while the natural dyes create subtle variations in color, known as abrash, that give the rug depth and character and keep it from feeling too formal or perfect.
